International Conservation Services (ICS) is Australia's largest private conservation practice. We conserve a wide range of cultural and heritage objects and artefacts including paintings, furniture, textiles, paper, sculpture, archaeological artefacts and wall finishes in buildings.
We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join the company in a finance and administration role. You will be responsible for supporting the Finance Officer in implementing ICS financial recordkeeping and reporting systems. Tasks include data entry into the ICS jobs database for purchases, accounts payable and receivable, timesheets, and job-related information. The Accounts Assistant also contributes to general administrative and HR functions, and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the Business Operations Team. There is a high level of engagement with staff across the whole company, and direct client contact may be required from time to time.
This position is located at our conservation labs at Chatswood, Sydney.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
- Good understanding of accounts and business processes
- A high level of accuracy, numeracy and attention to detail
- Solid experience using financial database applications and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively within a team environment
- Warmth, confidence and resilience

Salary will be commensurate with experience in the range AUD$46,344 - $52,872 plus 9.5% superannuation.
