s.h. ervin gallery conservation project

Located within the historic National Trust Centre on Observatory Hill in Sydney, the S.H. Ervin Gallery holds a collection of approximately 500 artworks and objects, covering the diversity of Australian art history. As official conservators to the National Trust of Australia (NSW), ICS has been working closely with the S.H. Ervin Gallery for many years, assisting with the preservation and care of their collection.

ICS conservators have recently been assessing and cleaning the collection on-site at the S.H. Ervin Gallery. A temporary exhibition of the Gallery's permanent collection has been hung for display at the same time, providing the public with a unique opportunity to see art conservation in action.

For more details, visit the S.H. Ervin Gallery website.
