Eliza joined ICS in early 2014. She has an MA in the Conservation of Fine Art (Works on Paper) from Northumbria University, UK and is an Accredited Paper Conservator (ICON, UK). Having worked in the private sector since 2007 Eliza has extensive experience and knowledge in the treatment of a wide range of paper based items of all ages, including: etchings, watercolours, gouache, screenprints, pastels, photographs, books, maps, vellum, and ink drawings.
Eliza has knowledge and practical skills in preventive conservation, and collection and project management, allowing her to provide effective solutions aimed at preventing and reducing the risk of future damage to collection materials.
Eliza has been a professional member of the Institute of Conservation (ICON), UK since 2011 (with standard membership since 2006). She became a professional member of the Australian Institute of the Conservation of Cultural Material (AICCM) in 2015 (with standard membership since 2014).
