Our conservators are professionally trained in their specialist conservation disciplines. They have university qualifications, some at post-graduate level, and are members of the Australian Institute of Conservation of Cultural Materials (AICCM).
We work to museum standards for conservation of objects and adhere to the AICCM Code of Ethics.
As part of our work, we keep records of the condition of your object with photographs before and after treatment, and often during treatment as well. We also record the type and extent of conservation treatment undertaken.
We provide a summary treatment report for all conservation work. For objects likely to require further conservation work in the future, we may prepare a more detailed conservation treatment report, including recommendations for future maintenance and conservation of your object.
